How do I find my serial number of my Signera Media Player?

Sometimes Signera Support may ask you to provide them the serial number of your media player to aid in support. Most specifically Signera Support will request the serial number when putting through an RMA (Return merchandise authorization) or repair request.

Although Signera does document media players (and their serial numbers) when shipped, we must confirm this information before authorizing an RMA. This also helps aid us in minimizing confusion, user error, etc. Also sometimes customers have more than one player and Signera has no way of knowing which player needs an RMA.

Below are two pictures of Serial # stickers on Signera players. A Serial number on a Windows-based media player will always be comprised of only digits or numbers. The serial number will also be between 5 and 8 digits in length, but is generally 6 or 7 digits.

This is a picture of newer serial number stickers:

Below is a picture of an older model and the older style of serial number stickers:

We also have Signera Sticks which are run on Linux. These sticks have a completely different serial number format. A Signera Stick serial number is always 11 to 12 digits in length and DOES contain letters as well as numbers.

In this example the serial number is GESC55100UN1.
