We have 2+ videos in a Adaptive Module (Custom Slideshow Module) but only the first one is playing?

The Adaptive Module (Custom Slideshow Module) cannot play 2 videos back to back. This is to help the processor on the player recover between videos so that videos can be played on the sign without skipping, stuttering, or other issues. This enhances the performance of your player allowing it to play content without memory issues.

If you want to play 2 videos back to back, and do not have any other content to play between the videos, we recommend adding "Transparent Slides" between each video.

So if you had 2 videos in you'd add 2 Transparent Slides.

Eg:
- Video 1
- Transparent Slide
- Video 2
- Transparent Slide

So every other slide is a non-video slide.

Simply repeat the process if you are showing more videos.

Some Notes:

To rearrange the Transparent slides or Video slides, use the green drag-and-drop arrows to re-arrange your slides within your module so they follow the above format (at least 1 non-Video slide between every video slide).
Remember to also make sure you don't have a Video slide as the first slide in the list of slides within a module, and a Video slide as the last slide in a list of slides within a module. This is because when an Adaptive Module (Custom Slideshow Module) reaches the end of the list of slides, it starts at the top again. So effectively, the videos would be back to back.

Here is an example where, although not initially obvious, two videos are back-to-back:
- Video 1
- Flyer #1
- Flyer #2
- Logo of Company
- Video 2

The "Video 1" and "Video 2" are back-to-back in the above example because when the system is done playing "Video 2" it'll re-start the slideshow starting with "Video 1", as this is the first slide in the module.

Lastly, you'll want to make sure that 2 Video slides are not back-to-back based on scheduling and the on/off toggles of all slides within a module.

Here is another example where, although not initially obvious, two videos are back-to-back:
- Video 1 (Turned On, No Scheduling)
- Flyer 1 (Turned Off, No Scheduling)
- Flyer 2 (Turned Off, No Scheduling)
- Video 2 (Turned On, No Scheduling)
- Flyer 3 (Turned On, No Scheduling)

The "Video 1" and "Video 2" are back-to-back in the above example because while Flyers #1 and #2 are between the Video slides, the Flyers are currently turned off.

You can see at a glance quickly what is turned on and off by the "Green" or "Red" indicator light under the "Status *" column.

If you don't want to use a transparent slide, you can upload your logo, a flyer, etc.

If using a Transparent Slide we recommend timing the Transparent Slides to play for only 1 second so the gap between videos is not noticeable. If you were showing your logo or flyer instead, you may want to increase this time setting.

The setting in question is within each slide and is called "Display this slide for". Blank means to inherit the Default Timing for the whole module.

Note: Video slides do not listen to slide timing. They always play for the full duration of the video.

Final Notes (if you're still having issues):

If videos still aren't playing, sometimes you may need to add 2 or 3 Transparent Slides/Flyers between videos

If adding 2-3 Transparent Slides/Flyers between videos doesn't work, you may need to re-optimize your video(s).

Re-optimizing videos (if you're still having issues):

If you are still having issues playing videos, we recommend re-optimizing your videos. If you are unfamiliar with how to do this, we recommend using YouTube as they have some of the best video processing currently available.

You will need a YouTube account but do NOT need to upload the video as public (so everyone can see). Simply upload the video to YouTube, then add the link to the "Add YouTube" button on Signera. After the new video is on Signera, you can delete the copy on YouTube.
