Solo Stick: "A Bootable Device Has Not Been Detected" or "No Bootable Device Found" or similar error message showing on screen.

Hello,

A quick video showing how to fix is found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YM6UyS3vaO0

Problem: Solo Stick boots up to a screen that says "A bootable device has not been detected" or "No boot device found" or similar message in white text on black background.

Explanation: This error happens when the Solo Stick abruptly has its power cut to it. It usually will not happen the first time, but will happen after repeated power interruptions. The BIOS is reverting itself back to Windows-32 bit. The system needs to be switched to Windows-64 bit to operate correctly. Prolonged exposure to power interruptions can lead to long-term issues like hard-drive failure.

Solution:
1) Hook up keyboard to Solo Stick
2) Reboot Solo Stick
3) Repeatedly hit "F2" as Solo Stick is rebooting
4) If "F2" is hit quick enough Solo Stick will boot into BIOS settings (if not, the error message will come back up, simply hit Ctrl+Alt+Del and try again)
5) Switch BIOS menu over to "Configuration" screen using Right-Arrow on Keyboard
6) Hit Down-Arrow until you highlight "Select Operating System" option
7) Hit Enter
8) On Pop-up window change selection from "Windows 32-bit" to "Windows 64-bit" (usually using Up-Arrow key and hitting Enter)
9) Switch BIOS menu over to "Exit" screen using Right-Arrow on Keyboard
10) Hit Enter on selection "Save Changes and Exit"
11) On Popup saying "Save configuration and reset (Y/N)" simply hit the "Y" key on your keyboard
12) This should automatically exit BIOS, reboot, and start Ubuntu in 64-bit

Long term solution: We've found customers who use a Surge Protector + UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply) never receive this error.
