Help! I'm seeing a "We’ll be back soon!" message in white text on a red background.
The message usually says:
We’ll be back soon!
Then a white box may be in the middle with more specific information.
Below that is text that includes:
Sorry for the inconvenience. We’re performing some maintenance at the moment. If you need to you can always call Signera Support at 301-714-0110 x1 or e-mail support@signera.net for updates, otherwise we’ll be back up shortly!
— The Signera Web Team
There is also a "Retry Now" button at the bottom with a 30 second count-down.
Some "White Box" message examples:
Notice: Unfortunately we are experiencing issues with our servers at Amazon AWS. We are working to resolve the issue.
Notice: An automated update is taking place. This can take from 1-5 minutes. Please stand by.
This message is created by the system automatically. It is not something Signera Developers (typically) manually put up. This message will appear when the system cannot get to all of the needed services to run the Signera User Interface.
The system is designed to attempt to automatically "fix" any issues. This could include rebooting/restarting servers, creating more servers when there is heavy load, and re-initialing our Databases. While these processes take place, this message is shown rather than an unhelpful "502", "503" or "504" error. Any outage typically would not last beyond 1-5 minutes and should be rare (once a month at most).
Sometimes the outage is completely outside of our control because of issues at AWS (Amazon Web Services) data-center.
You can see any possible issues with AWS here:
https://status.aws.amazon.com/Furthermore Signera will notify our customers of any extended outages on our Twitter:
https://twitter.com/SigneraNote: These brief outages will NEVER affect your Signera Media Player or content playing on your Sign.
