The first thing I always check when someone says their sign isn't updating is their internet. Login to Signera then go to the "Sign Network" tab or "Manage Signs" button. Do you see a red traffic light next to your sign? If so, that means your network connection is down. The next step is troubleshooting that issue. Please get with your IT department, check network cables, or check the Signera Knowledge-base article called: "My Internet Connection Appears to be Down, How do I fix?"
If your traffic light is green or yellow, the next thing that can be going on is a corrupt slide. If a slide is uploaded but doesn't get converted right, or something happens during the upload process... the slide can get corrupt causing the whole slideshow to fail to update as it should (because the system is trying to play a file that isn't there, or is broke, or it cant play). The way to check if there is a corrupt slide is to go to the module in question and go through each slide and click the "Open Preview in New Window" at the bottom. If the slide opens and it looks okay... then all is good. If the slide comes up as a broken image... then that slide needs deleted or re-uploaded. Re-uploading/deleting will immediately fix the issue.
If your module has no corrupt slides, the next thing I make sure is that the "Display each slide for:" (default timing) is *NOT* set to 0 seconds and is *NOT* blank (this will cause the slideshow to freeze on whatever the first slide is). This is desirable in some slideshows (showing only one slide) but not slideshows with multiple slides. The Default Timing should be somewhere around "10" seconds which is fine. I also recommend checking each individual slide to make sure they didn't have a "Display this slide for:" setting that was 0 seconds. This would cause the same issue listed above. Having them "blank" is fine because that means they'll just inherent the default.
The second last thing I i'd recommend checking is your frame/template. Go to your frame/template playing this Adaptive Module and make sure its listed in the list of modules on the template/frame, and make sure nothing is on top of it (and all settings look okay).
Lastly, if you're using "Nothing Scheduled" slides, we recommend you see this article: Nothing Scheduled slide isn't working or causing slideshow to get stuck? Only way it gets unstuck is to re-save module/template or reboot?
If you've verified all of the above has been checked and still are experiencing an issue, please contact Signera Support by either calling 301-714-0110 x1 or emailing support@signera.net
If the slideshow is stopping on a specific slide, letting us know this information may also be helpful.
Please wait... it will take a second!
