- Technical Support
We are sorry to hear you are having issues with your Signera Media Player.
In any case, we ask that you reach out to Signera Support at 301-714-0110 x1 or support@signera.net as soon as possible.
If you just got the media player within 30 days, we should be able to get you a replacement quickly. Outside of 30 days, all media players have a 3 or 5 year warranty. Let Support know ASAP so we may start an RMA for you. After 3 or 5 years, Signera can request an out-of-warranty RMA in some specific cases. Also in some cases, we can troubleshoot the issue over the phone and get your media player back up and working without any need for replacements or shipping or RMAs.
For instance, sometimes media players start to flash their power light or LED light, but will not turn on when a power surge or power interruption happens. The fix for this is here: Computer won't turn on, power light or LED just blinks
Other issues may be fixed with a simple re-install found here: How do I factory reset and/or reinstall (re-install) my media player?
Lastly, other issues may be a simple configuration change Signera Support can help you with over the phone or via e-mail.
All media players are tested when they are received by the manufacturer.
They are then tested again right before they are shipped to a customer.
Even still, issues can arise from changing humidity, temperature, jostling of the package during transit, or even spikes in power when plugged in at a customer site.
For this reason we ask that you handle the media player like you would any other computer. Please keep it in a humid free environment, at a normal inside temperature (around 72 degrees Fahrenheit), away from dust, static electricity, and extreme vibrations.
Also when you go to turn off your media player, never cut the power to it abruptly. Either press the power button on the front of the unit to allow the unit to power down (it should take no more than 30 seconds), or hook a keyboard/mouse to the media player and go to "Start" then "Shutdown". Routinely shutting the power to the media player by abruptly cutting its power can cause the media player to cease functioning properly.
We also ask that you always use a surge protector that also has power conditioning anytime hooking up a media player. As a good measure, you should also connect your TV to a surge protector with power conditioning.
